       River Fish With Us
While charter fishing around Kodiak is rightfully famous, river fishing in Kodiak also draws anglers from all over the world.  Some fishing can be accessed easily on the road system, the really good fishing requires that you travel a little further off the beaten track. A UTV trek to Saltery Cove will afford you a memorable drive, beautiful sights, and great salmon fishing.

We can provide you with hip waders, fishing rods, flies, snacks, and water. You'll need a fishing license which can be purchased in Kodiak (Walmart, Big Ray's, or Cy's) or online at Fish and Game  .
Saltry ATV Riving Fishing
FULL DAY | Duration
Take an incredible journey deep into Kodiak where you can only reach by ATV or plane.  The trip alone is worth the trek but if the salmon are running, you owe it to yourself to get one on a hook.

Our ATV fishing excursions begins at the Saltery Road trailhead at the American River. We can pick you up or meet you.  From there we mount up on ATVs and head out on the Saltery Road trail (about 16 miles), through breathtaking scenery and rugged trail conditions to Saltery Cove and the waters of Saltery Creek, home to returning Sockeye, Pink, Dog, and Coho salmon.

WHAT TO BRING?
Kodiak weather can often sneak up on you so I recommend bring lots of warm gear, rain jacket and rain pants, hat and some good hiking boots.  Cotton kills, so be sure to pick synthetic or wool materials so you stay warm and dry.
A little bit of heaven!
Your fishing trip with us will begin either with us picking you up in town or meeting you at the American River trailhead.
From there we'll mount up in a Side by Side ATV and begin an amazing 16 mile trail ride out to Saltery Cove to the waters between Saltery Lake and the mouth of Saltery Creek. We'll try our luck with the salmon and Dolly Varden trout that inhabit the creek, with snacks and drinks available while you fish.
Any fish kept will go in a cooler for the return trip. When we return to town, we'll drop off your catch with a local processor who will fillet, vacuum seal, freeze, and pack your catch for travel. If you have an urge to clean and fillet some fish for your dinner we can do that as well.
